Wallace Carter Schmidt,
principal auctioneer with NorthEast Auction Associates Greenfield Center, NY and a contract auctioneer, is
conducting auctions in CT, NJ, and NY, including Long Island. An accomplished
antique and Oriental rug auctioneer, Schmidt now brings a lifetime (since 1967) of auction experience to real estate.
He also does traditional real estate listings. He is now able to offer his clients a highly valuable service-that
of selling the contents and the real estate at one time.
He is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School, which is referred to as the Harvard
of auction schools. He organized the largest appraisal fair this area has ever seen at Russell
Sage College.Wally also organized an appraisal fair at St. Peter's Hospital
where a very important Satsuma vase was brought in with an appraisal value of up to $20,000. These fairs help raise revenue
for many different causes.
He has worked with Donna Hassler of The
Rensselaer County Historical Society.. Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc is another project he has worked with. He is available as a speaker. One discussion
was of Oriental Rugs at Doyle’s Absolute Auction Gallery in Pleasant Valley, NY. He
is experienced in liquidations. A member of NAA, he held an exhibition at the annual NYSAA meeting and lectured on selling
rugs at auction. Schmidt lives with his wife, Judy Turney Schmidt, a retired educator, in Greenfield Center.

Charles Semowich PhD is another associate. He is the owner of. Charles Semowich Fine Arts, 1980-present.In
this position, he purchases and sells artwork, prepares appraisals and provides consultations. He is a very prominent
author, curator, lecturer, teacher, historian, appraiser, and auctioneer. He has a master's degrees in Art and PhD in
Art History. He has written an important book on furniture and many articles, including three articles in the important
Dictionary of Art. His lectures have been on such topics as furniture, prints, folk art, and other areas.
